An Infinite Winter, Vol. III: Neptune

An Infinite Winter, Vol. III: NEPTUNE

Denver based Anesthesia’s 5th studio release is the 3rd installment of the An Infinite Winter series. Complementing “In Memoriam” and “Time”, Vol. III: Neptune continues to build on “a season without end” through themes of isolation, loneliness, control, faithfulness, hope, inevitability, inertia and rivalry felt in the deepest void in ourselves and reflected in our universe.

An Infinite Winter, Vol. II: Time

An Infinite Winter, Vol. II: Time

The 2nd installment of the An Infinite Winter EP series is the latest release from the Denver, Colorado group that brought fans and artists the hope and gravitas of Wake Up in 2008 and the depths and inevitability of La Paradinha in 2012. In its entirety, An Infinite Winter is an ambitious attempt to convey a metaphorical and simplistic interpretation of “a season without end” as told through music devoid of lyrics. Vol. II: Time is an intimate departure from Vol. I, and conveys a grandness and hopefulness that is reminiscent of the band's earliest work.

An Infinite Winter, Vol. I: In Memoriam

An Infinite Winter, Vol. I: In Memoriam

This first installment of the An Infinite Winter EP series is the latest release from the Denver, Colorado group that brought fans and artists the hope and gravitas of Wake Up in 2008 and the depths and inevitability of La Paradinha in 2012. In its entirety, An Infinite Winter is an ambitious attempt to convey a metaphorical and simplistic interpretation of “a season without end” as told through music devoid of lyrics. Vol. 1: In Memoriam takes on a heavy, ethereal, and often times raw and honest personality to communicate both the end and the beginning of transferring the present “into memory”. Anesthesia has delivered a remarkable addition to its catalog for fans and new listeners alike.

La Paradinha

by anesthesia

La Paradinha

La Paradinha is Anesthesia’s sophomore follow up to 2008’s Wake Up and takes the listener to the depths of wrestling with themes of inevitability: life, death, dichotomy, man against the weight of the ocean, gravity, failure, the loss of heroes, resolution, change, the end of things to come, paradinha, UVB 76, and the like. La Paradinha showcases more organic instrumentation and the band's first experimentation with vocals, but never loses site of the symmetry and textures of their first effort. In one regard the album plays like the soundtrack from a film, but also stands alone as a complete work of art.

Wake Up

Wake up

Anesthesia is the musical collaboration between founder James Daly “ JaDa" (guitars, keys, ambience, programming), Phil Owen (guitars, ambience, programming, engineering) and Jeremiah Dalesio (production, engineering). Originating in Denver, Colorado, the band formed in 2007 through a season of focused creativity and experimentation. JaDa began working on a project with a number of sketches written from coupling a Rhodes with electronic beats, but the concept soon broadened to include live drums and rhythmic and textural guitars. For all the different elements used, the debut album, Wake Up, comes across as a complete journey: one that has a grand entrance and an appropriate exit. A journey that has peaks and valleys but also a destination for the listener.
